JENNIFER KAYMAY LIU, Owner, J KayMay LLC
I'm a creative professional interested in everything from floral design, print design, special events, DIY crafting, editorial magazine development, photography, and travel. I recently launched my floral design business after rediscovering my passion for hands-on design after years of volunteer management and event planning for nonprofit organizations. I love volunteering at indie craft fairs, and I'm available for travel and freelancing opportunities.
Art is my lifestyle. I apply it to my everyday life of work, leisure, and happiness. I see art as a mindset which includes creative thinking, personal expression, and staging for emotions and special moments.
I have been trained in floral design from talented designers from Team Flower Workshop 2015, courses by Sarah Winward, and other courses in design, all while freelancing with various companies such as Amy Osaba Events, among others. I previously obtained a Masters of Arts in Arts Administration from Savannah College of Art and Design, where I also worked nearly five years in special events, mentoring, and arts education programming. Prior to my work at SCAD, I managed volunteers and worked membership events at the High Museum of Art. My artistic background comes from my early interest in art and design as well as my Bachelors of Arts degree in Printmaking and Drawing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
When I'm not designing florals, I'm working full-time at a local private K-12 institution and spending time with my husband and newborn. I design not because I have to, but because I love gift giving and see my floral design for clients as such.
I love surprising my brides with their personal flowers and reception arrangements. Seeing smiles and going the extra mile makes me feel extra special and is what makes my work truly meaningful!
Hi there! Introduce yourself and feel free to inquire about floral pricing andevent support needs. I freelance in the greater Atlanta and Charlotte area.
